Tin Cup – Vous ne connaissez peut être pas ce film mais pour résumer c’est un film avec Kevin Costner, Rene Russo et du golf.
C’était le premier grand film où Nick faisait une petite apparition (à environ 1h30 du film). D’ailleurs son personnage n’a pas de nom et il est crédité comme « mec au bar n°1″. On retiendra quand même sa réplique ainsi que son sourire.
Nick nous parle de son expérience dans le film : « Kevin Costner était très cool, et m’a pris sous son aile. Je venais de faire quelques courts métrages. La seule scène où j’étais nous a pris toute la semaine à tourner. J’étais l’un des gars assis à un bar, discutant les chances sur un pari que Kevin Costner et Don Johnson étaient sur le point de faire. C’était une très petite partie, seulement quelques lignes. Dans le montage final, tous mes lignes ont été coupées, sauf une. Mais ce n’était pas pour l’argent que je l’ai fait ou pour combien de temps je suis à l’écran, c’était pour l’expérience. C’était mon premier film à gros prix. Le directeur, Ron Shelton, a été super avec moi. Il était vraiment excitant. »

Nick: (about working on the movie) « Kevin Costner was very cool, and took me under his wing. I was green as far as working in film goes. I had just done some short films. The one scene I was in took us all week to shoot. I was one of the guys sitting at a bar, discussing the odds on a bet that Kevin Costner and Don Johnson were about to make. It was a really small part, just a few lines. In the final edit, all my lines were cut except for one. But it wasn’t about the money I made or how much screen time I got; it was the experience.
